RWS win Bromley Science and Technology Competition!

6/15/2017

Twelve Ravens Wood students from year 8 and 9 entered the Bromley Science and Technology Competition at The University of Greenwich on the 14th June. 72 students from 6 Bromley schools entered the competition. The students were paired and split into mixed school teams of four.
The students had a great time competing in 4 separate challenges:  vehicle design and construction, robotics, medical diagnosis and criminal e-fit.
Ravens Wood students Josh Perry and Joel Conrad won the vehicle challenge and were presented with certificates and trophies by the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Kathy Bance MBE.
Year 8 Ravens Wood students Angus Gibson and Steven Asquith alongside their 2 team members from Bullers Wood School won the overall competition. This means that they progress to the National Finals which will be held at St Mary's University in January.
Ravens Wood returned from their debut in the regional competition with 2 trophies, the school is immensely proud of all students who attended the event.
We wish Angus and Steven the best of luck when representing RWS STEM at the finals.
